The Saudi newspapers commented today editorially on a number of local, regional and international topics. They pointed out that the Cabinet at its session held here yesterday under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, hoped that the new US administration would be more serious and objective as regards the Palestinian issue. The papers noted that the Kingdom is keen on a fair stand which enables the Palestinian people restore their usurped rights and establish their independent state with al-Quds as its capital. On a local issue, the papers underlined the importance of the development of the judicial system and simplification of the judicial procedures at the courts. On the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the papers said the international legitimacy is still incapable of ending the massacre in Gaza. The papers asked whether the Zionist entity which has been implanted in the heart of the Arab nation would remain above the international law. The papers urged the Palestinians to unite their ranks so as to make the international community respect them and work for ending the war in Gaza strip. --more
