Assistant undersecretary of the health ministry for clinical medicine Dr Yaqub al-Mazroo said the hosting of the Kingdom of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab health ministers on Tuesday in Riyadh comes within the framework of the Kingdom's efforts to extend support to the Palestinian cause and its solidarity with the Palestinian people. In a statement to SPA, he said the meeting reiterates the role which can be played by the Kingdom as regards coordination of the Arab, regional and international efforts for supporting the Palestinians. Dr al-Mazroo said the meeting will review the health and humanitarian situation in Gaza as well as formation of an Arab health committee for the emergencies in addition to means for providing the citizens of Gaza with a comprehensive health care in line with the international conventions. Meanwhile, Dr Khalid Marghalani, the spokesman for the health ministry, said invitations have been extended to the concerned authorities for participation in the meeting.
