United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees received a batch of food and medical aid including 640 tons of flour, 220 tons of sugar and quantities of medicines and biomedical instruments within the grant submitted by the Aqsa and Quds Fund for relief of the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip. In its 34th Session last Sunday in the Islamic Development Bank here, the Steering Committee of the Aqsa and Quds Fund endorsed an urgent program of 25,000,000 US Dollars to procure foodstuff and medical supplies and fast rehabilitation works, in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Palestinian Red Crescent, and in coordination with the Saudi Relief Commission for the Palestinian People, Egyptian Red Crescent, Hashemite Jordanian Foundation, Qatari Red Crescent, AGFUND and UNRWA.
