President of ports authority Dr Khalid Bobsheit has highlighted the importance of the Saudi ports and said five of these ports, namely the Islamic Port of Jeddah, Yanbu Commercial and Industrial Ports, Jazan and Dhiba Ports, are in strategic locations. Dr Bobsheit, who was speaking at his meeting with the students of the college of business administration in Jeddah, said the national cadres constitute strategic option. He noted that the other Saudi ports, King Abdulaziz Port of Dammam, and al-Jubail Industrial and Commercial Port, enjoy the same importance due to their proximity to the regions of production and raw materials. Dr Bobsheit pointed out that the Saudi ports are viewed as secured ports, and they have attracted the attention of the great navigation lines.
