Leaders of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held the first closed-door session of the 29th Summit of the GCC Supreme Council. The session was chaired by Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman. During the session, the GCC leaders will discuss issues and topics on the agenda presented to them by the GCC Ministerial Council. The agenda includes a number of political, economic, military, security, social files and other issues concerning the GCC cooperation and integration as well as the overall developments in the region at the regional and international levels. The leaders will also review a report by the GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Atiiyah on GCC progress since the previous 28th session, which was held in Doha, Qatar.
