Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers said today the Sultanate led by Sultan Qaboos bin Said, his government and the Omani people are welcoming the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders and participating delegates to Oman - their second country, wishing them all success in the future and their brotherly countries' further progress and prosperity. In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), to mark the 29th GCC Leaders' Summit in Muscat, Sayyid Fahd said that the Sultan has always been keen to exert all efforts to make the co-operation march successful. By convening this Summit on the Sultanate's land, such a co-operation is getting much stronger. He appreciated the efforts made by officials of the GCC states to activate fields of co-operation and achieve targeted integration in all spheres required by the joint collective work. He said that GCC leaders' meeting is a new addition to the GCC strong structure in tandem with international developments. --MORE
