Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister, said that in their preparatory meeting here today, the Ministerial Council of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council discussed with great concern the continued unjust Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip and their effects and consequences. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, he said that the Ministerial Council did not take a decision on the call for holding an emergency Arab summit and referred the issue to the Arab foreign ministers' emergency meeting which will be held in Cairo on Wednesday for discussion at the Arab level and consideration of the possibility of holding an Arab summit that can take tangible decisions as it is futile to attend an Arab statements' summit that does not have the conditions for success and influence.
