A boat docked in Gaza's fishing port on Saturday morning, carrying medical aid supplies and a Qatari delegation, DPA quoted a Palestinian official as saying. The "dignity" ship was the first successful initiative by the US-based Free Gaza Movement to break Israel's naval blockade on Gaza Strip, part of a series of sanctions Israel applied on the territory in 2007. "The ship safely arrived, laden with humanitarian aid presented by the Qatari people," said Jamal al-Khodary, a Palestinian lawmaker who heads the Gaza-based Popular Committee Against the Siege. In addition to the Western campaigners, a Qatari delegation representing various Arab aid organizations and journalists were aboard, al-Khodary added. Israel allowed the Free Gaza Movement's ships to enter Gaza territorial waters as the boats are checked in Cyprus, their final stop before setting sail to Gaza.
