President George W. Bush will meet with visiting President Elias Antonio Saca of El Salvador next week in Washington, the White House announced Monday. At the December 16 meeting, the two leaders will “discuss a range of issues, including their shared commitment to strengthening democracy and advancing economic development,” the White House said in a statement. “El Salvador is an important ally of the United States, and this visit underscores the deep friendship between the United States and El Salvador,” the White House wrote.
