The the International Forum for Peace and Sports 2008 organized by Peace and Sport Organization pour la Paix et le Sport resumed here today its deliberations in the presence of Prince Albert II, the patronizer of the event, and Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Vice-President of the General Presidency of Youth and Welfare, Head of the Executive Board of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, IOC Member and "Peace and Sport" Ambassador. The participants of the Forum discussed several topics related to sports including sports as a Geopolitical Instrument for Peace; Harmonising Action by Government with Action from the Sports Movement; National Olympic Committees – International Federations and National Federations Interact for Peace; What is the Role of Sport in Areas of Tension?; Sport, Partnerships and Corporate Social Responsibility; The Challenges of Sustainability and How can we progress from structured sports practice to a functional environment for social reinsertion.
