A Spanish businessman was shot and killed Wednesday in an attack by the Basque separatist group ETA, AP quoted a police official as saying. A Basque regional police official said the man was shot several times in the Basque town of Azpeitia, near San Sebastian. Two attackers later fled in a car, the official said. The police official identified the victim as Ignacio Uria Mendizabal, age 71. He worked for a construction company involved in a project to build high-speed railways in the Basque region of northern Spain, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with department rules.
