The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has condemned the 'bloody incidents' that took place recently in Mumbai, India, which led to deaths and injuries of a large number of people in addition to destruction of properties and generation of panic among the innocent people. The remarks were made in a message sent by WAMY's secretary general Dr Salih al-Wuhaibi to Indian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia M.O.H. Farouq. In his message, Dr Al-Wuhaibi said: "WAMY deplores this sinister act, and believes that Islam rejects terrorism in its entirety, both its means and ends because terrorism runs counter to the teachings of Islam." "Moreover, Islam advocates fraternity, tolerance and understanding. Terrorism with all its contents and forms contradicts with the human message of the charitable work which aims at extending assistance and social development to the needy people," he said. In his name and on behalf of WAMY's personnel, he offered condolences to the Indian government and people.
