The first international Madinah festival for dates and foodstuffs, organized by the cooperative agricultural society here, ended last night its activities and show. The 15-day festival attracted 500,000 visitors. Eng. Hamad Al-Harbi, the head of the board of directors of the cooperative agricultural society, highlighted the support extended to the festival by Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed, the Governor of Madinah region. He lauded the effective contribution of the higher tourism commission as well as the other governmental authorities to make the festival successful.
