700,000 visitors expected at Madina Dates Festival

The second Madina International Dates Festival opened its doors Thursday with 700,000 visitors from the Kingdom and abroad projected over the 45 days of the event.
Madina Governorate Undersecretary Ibrahim Al-Khataf conducted the opening of the festival in which over 70 kinds of dates and food product groups are represented and which has been organized by Madina's Agricultural Cooperation Society.
Head organizer Hamoud Al-Harbi praised the government support that Madina's agricultural sector enjoys, citing loans to farmers in the region of SR800 million.
“The festival hopes to give a boost to tourism in Madina, and it has an area devoted to showing potential investors the tourism opportunities that exist in the area,” Al
