Major U.S. stock indexes were slightly lower today about two hours before trading, shrinking back after a two day rally of nearly 12 percent. S&P 500 futures fell 1.7 points to 846.30 and Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 5 points to 1,142.00. Dow industrial futures slipped 45 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 396 points, the S&P 500 added 51 points and the Nasdaq Composite fell 87 points. Tuesday will feature a number of releases, including the Conference Board's consumer confidence gauge for November, another estimate of the third-quarter GDP in the U.S. as well the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for September. Oil futures slipped $2.35 to $52.15 a barrel and the dollar dropped 1.3 percent to 95.82 yen
