Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari signed today contracts of housing projects for the members of the academic staff at several Saudi universities at a total cost of more than SR 800 million. The contracts include an SR 398.8 million contract at Baha university; an SR 163.8 million contract at the complex of the university colleges in Zulfi; the complex of the university colleges in Majmah at a cost of SR 132 million, and a contract for the housing project for the members of the staff at the colleges complex in Shaqra at a total cost of SR 130.8 million. Dr Al-Anqari said the signing of the contracts reflects the keenness of the ministry on activating the additional incentives for the members of the staff of the Saudi universities, approved by the Cabinet in the last blessed month of Ramadan. The incentives included allocation of SR 5 billion for the housing projects for the members of the academic staff at the Saudi universities. It is worth mentioning that Dr AL-ANQARI has recently signed more than SR 2 billion contracts which included implementing housing projects in each of King Saud university, Jizan university, Tabuk university, the Islamic university of Madinah, as well as the colleges complexes in each of Muzahimia, Kharj and Hafar-al-batin.
