Dr Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid, the Chairman of the Shoura (Consultative) Council, has arrived here on an official visit to Australia. He was welcomed at Sydney airport by Saudi ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hassan bin Talat Nazir and a number of Australian officials. Nazir underlined the importance of the visit of Dr Bin Humaid and said the talks due to be held during his visit will contribute to further enhancing Saudi-Australian relations. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Nazir said the 5-day visit comes in response to an invitation from Speaker of the Australian Senate and Parliament Harry Jenkins. Dr Bin Humaid, who is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, is scheduled to confer with a number of Australian officials.
