The first group of pilgrims arriving by sea are expected on Wednesday at Jeddah Islamic Port. The port will this year receive more than 20,000 pilgrims traveling on 27 vessels, including 20 from Egypt and 7 from Sudan, according to a report of Arabic newspaper "OKAZ." Fahd Abdullah Al-Adwani, head of the Hajj administration at the port, said the arrival of the first group of 500 Sudanese pilgrims on Wednesday would be followed by 1,365 Egyptian pilgrims the following Tuesday, and that pilgrim arrivals by sea would continue until December 2.
