Cambodia's national police chief Hok Lundy, who is a close friend of Prime Minister Hun Sen, was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday night while traveling to his home province of Svay Rieng near the Vietnamese border, officials said, according to DPA. A military general and two pilots were also killed in the crash, which occurred in Romduol district, 80 kilometres south east of Phnom Penh. Officials said the cause of the crash was unknown. One of Hok Lundy's daughters is married to one of Hun Sen's sons. In 2006 the police chief was denied a visa to enter America amid allegations of involvement in human trafficking.
