Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni left Tuesday for a four-day visit to neighboring Laos and Vietnam, dpa reported. The king departed Phnom Penh International Airport, seen off by a delegation including Prime Minister Hun Sen. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said he will meet with the presidents of both nations and spend two days in each. It is his first state visit to both nations since he ascended the throne in October 2004. The visit is aimed at strengthening ties between the three nations, which are working on building their economic relations. Sihamoni is scheduled to return to Cambodia on March 18.
