The Ministry of Social Affairs will participate in the Ministerial Forum on "Private Sector's Social Responsibility in Arab States" to be held in Amman, Jordan, from November 12 to 14 in response to an invitation of Jordan's Ministry of Social Development and UNESCO Management of Social Transformations Programme (MOST). The Forum will focus on identifying and setting up a common vision and exploring the most appropriate means of coordinating their social policies. The Saudi delegation to the Forum will be headed by Minister of Social Affairs Yousuf Bin Ahmed Othaimeen. The Forum will address a number of topics of joint action in the area of social development in Arab countries as it examines a number of experiments in social development in Jordan, in addition to defining responsibility between business and social development in addition to Arab joint work and social development. The Forum will also discuss the United Nations Charter and the Charter of initiative for the Arab Region as well as a discussion on the elements to be covered by the Declaration of the Forum, elections and adoption of the Ministerial Forum's Declaration. The primary purpose of MOST's primary is to transfer relevant Social Sciences research findings and data to decision-makers and other stakeholders. MOST also focuses on building efficient bridges between research, policy and practice. The programme promotes a culture of evidence-based policy-making – nationally, regionally and internationally. As the only UNESCO programme that fosters and promotes social science research, it is placed in a pivotal position in the overall promotion of UNESCO's goals.
