Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met here today with the President of Indonesia's Council of Scholars Sheikh Humeidan Sabran, a number of members of the Council of Muftis and propators currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The minister valued the existing relations between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia in all fields, describing the Kingdom and Indonesia as the heart of the Islamic nation. He emphasized the importance attached by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also the Chairman of Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, to the Islamic propagation in general and the Indonesian affairs in particular. On his part, the President of the Indonesian Council expressed his thanks to and appreciation for the efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Islamic religion and unification of the Muslim ranks, hoping that the King visits Indonesia soon. Sheikh Sabran extended an official invitation to the Minister to visit Indonesia to attend the conference to be organized by the Council on the Islamic Sharia.
