A Pakistani official says the death toll from the earthquake in southwestern Pakistan will likely rise to more than 300, reported AP. A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Baluchistan province before dawn on Wednesday, demolishing some 3,000 houses. Provincial government minister Zamrak Khan said Friday that 215 deaths have been confirmed. But he said officials were receiving reports of more deaths from more remote areas and that the toll would likely top 300.
