Saudi Arabia, which is represented by the National Commission for Wildlife Protection, Conversation and Development (NCWCD), celebrated today the Arab Environment Day which falls on 14th Shawwal 1429 AH (14 October 2008). The Day is celebrated under the slogan "Sound Environment for a Better Life" in implementation of the decisions of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment adopted during its first meeting in Tunisia in 1986. On this occasion, Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Mohammed Al Saud, Secretary General of the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development lauded efforts by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and his Crown Prince for their guidance and support to all areas of environmental conservation and wildlife throughout the Kingdom.
