Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister and Head of the Saudi delegation to the meeting of the UN's general assembly, participated here yesterday in the meeting held between the GCC foreign ministers and their counterparts from the countries of the League of South East Asia. The participants of the meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between the GCC member states and the countries of South East Asia in the various domains. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Saud shed light on the initiative of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz pertaining to dialogue among the followers of the religions. He reviewed the outcome Madrid conference which aimed at spreading peace and harmony among the people on the basis of the common values among the followers of the heavenly religions and other beliefs for confronting extremism and violence and solving the problems facing the human communities like terrorism, violence, drugs and social dissolution.
