Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Ali Assiri has highlighted the achievements attained in the era of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and lauded the King's keenness on enhancing the pillars of the global peace and security. In a statement to SPA on t he occasion of the Kingdom's national day, which fell on Sept 23, he said the national day links the past with the present. He saluted late King Abdulaziz who had successfully unified the country. Assiri said the sons of King Abdulaziz followed the footsteps of their great father and efficiently and sincerely performed their mission. Meanwhile the ambassador highlighted the existing distinguished relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan notably following the visit recently paid by King Abdullah to Islamabad. He added that the leaderships of the two countries are keen on further cementing bilateral relations and activating the projects of genuine partnership. He prayed to Allah Almighty to close the ranks of the Muslims, and to perpetuate his bounties on the Kingdom, notably the bounties of security, stability and prosperity.
