Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Minister of Interior, graced here on Monday evening a dinner party held in his honor and the accompanying delegation by Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Ali Al-Assiri. Speaking on the occasion, Al-Assiri said the visit of Prince Ahmad to Pakistan embodies the great attention given by the Saudi leadership to Pakistan, which was recently hit by a disastrous earthquake. Al-Assiri highlighted the existing fraternal and deep-rooted Saudi-Pakistani relations, and said these relations go back to the era of the Kingdom's Founder, King Abdulaziz, and Pakistan's Founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah. On his part, Samee'i Al-Ha q, the Head of the Muslim Scholars Society in Pakistan, praised the great attention given by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to victims of the earthquake. He also lauded the donation campaign for the assistance of victims of the earthquake, earlier ordered by the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Meanwhile, Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz expressed sorrow and grief for the disaster faced by Pakistan, and said what was done by the Kingdom to assist Pakistan was not more than a duty towards the Pakistani brethren. The dinner party was attended by a number of Pakistani and Saudi senior officials.
