German politicians and officials have praised the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the late King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Rahman Al Saud and highlighted its achievements in political and economic domains. On his part, Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, who witnessed the eras of King Faisal and King Khalid and also met King Fahd several times, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys the most stable, moderate and wise policy among the Muslim countries. He praised the Kingdom's economic achievements. For his part, Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud on several occasions expressed his admiration for the achievements in the Kingdom, describing King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz as a man of political initiatives.
