The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached a place of pride in health field and become an advanced medical center for many diseases, particularly heart and liver diseases as well as in the sphere of specialized surgeries. The biggest success achieved by the Kingdom in the medical field is the separation of Siamese twins. The unprecedented success is attributed to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The number of such operations for Siamese twins from Arab, Asian and European countries reached 18. The operations were conducted at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, an affiliate of Health Affairs Directorate of the National Guard.
