King Abdulaziz University (KAU) has recently launched an initiative for establishing three centers of research excellence in three domains including technology of water desalination. Rector of the University Dr Osama Tayyeb said the center of water desalination will extend scientific and financial consultations to the governmental authorities concerned with water and its supplies. He noted that there will be a center in the field of osteopsathyrsis with the aim of making it a distinguished international cooperative center in the field of osteopsathyrsis. He pointed out that the center will undertake development of the training vocational programs. The third center will be in the field of hereditary diseases. This center will study the causes of spread of hereditary diseases in the Kingdom and will set the required recommendations in this respect.
