Bomb kills Afghan governor
KABUL Published in Saudi Press Agency on 13 - 09 - 2008


An Interior Ministry spokesman
says a bomb attack has killed an Afghan governor outside
his home.
Spokesman Zemeri Bashary says Saturday's bomb killed
Abdullah Wardak, the governor of Logar province near Kabul,
and one of his body guards.
Wardak was a former Cabinet member, the Associated Press reported.
Afghanistan has 34 provinces, each headed by a provincial
governor.
