A pipeline company official said on Thursday that Bolivia's natural-gas exports to Brazil have been largely restored. Hugo Munoz, an advisor to Bolivia's Transierra company, told the Associated Press in La Paz that only 10 percent—or 3 million cubic meters—of the natural gas Bolivia sends Brazil daily is still blocked because of pipeline damage blamed on anti-government saboteurs. Munoz said half of Bolivia's natural-gas flow to Brazil was interrupted for seven hours on Thursday until a valve closed by government opponents could be reopened. Brazil receives 30 million cubic meters of natural gas per day from Bolivia—half its total supply. Earlier on Thursday, Bolivia's finance minister said it could take 15 days to completely restore natural-gas flow to Brazil.
