The Ministry of Social Affairs started to provide more than SR 80 million for 330 charitable societies throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, notably in the remote regions. Dr Yousef al-Othaimeen, the Minister of Social Affairs said that this development comes in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz so to enable the charitable societies perform their humanitarian mission. Dr Al-Othaimeen said these sums of money constitute the second installment of the amount allocated for the support of the charitable societies. He noted that the ministry of social affairs will follow up the financial reports which will be submitted by the charitable societies in this respect. The ministry will spare no effort in supporting the charitable societies so as to enable them implement the charitable projects, he added.
