Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Mehdi Safari, arrived here on Thursday heading an expert delegation to attend a major reigonal meeting, IRNA reported. Safari is in Baku to take part in the 23rd meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states' working group. The group is in charge of drafting the Convention on Legal Status of the Caspian Sea. Representatives from Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan participate in the meeting which will be held on September 4-5. Safari is scheduled to meet with a number of the Azeri officials on the sidelines of the two-day meeting.
