Russia and Uzbekistan have coordinated a plan of events of the programme of bilateral economic cooperation for 2008-2012, Itar-Tass reported. This decision was reached on Tuesday during talks between Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and the leadership of Uzbekistan. The plan aimed at intensifying economic interaction of the countries both in bilateral and multilateral formats. The document reflects the main directions of cooperation not only in such traditional spheres of cooperation as energy, industrial production and agriculture, but in the fields of science, technology and public health as well. The plan clearly defines the terms of fulfillment of concrete projects. The sides believe that the realization of the events fixed in this document will help both reveal the two countries' economic potential and strengthen integration ties.
