Iran-Oman joint military committee started its seventh meeting in Muscat, Oman, on Sunday in presence of Iranian and Omani military officials. Omani Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces told Iran's Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces for Information and Operations Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Rahmani that Iran-Oman ties are special. Welcoming Iranian military delegation to Oman, General Ahmed bin Harith al-Nabahani said that his country is willing to expand Tehran-Muscat all-out cooperation. He expressed pleasure with the activities already carried out by Iran-Oman joint military committee and said that the committee is expected to further boost its activities for bolstering military cooperation in the region. Brigadier General Rahmani called for boosting bilateral ties in various fields, adding that history shows no obstacle to the two countries' relations. Heading the Iranian military delegation to Oman, Rahmani arrived in the country on Saturday night to co-chair Iran-Oman joint military committee. The seventh meeting of Iran-Oman joint military committee will work for three days.
