Moderate earthquake hits west of Panama

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit western Panama, without causing casualties or damages, Xinhua quoted Geosciences Institute of the University of Panama as saying.
The earthquake occurred at 6:04 local time (1104 GMT), with its epicenter 10 km underground in the province of Chiriqui that borders Costa Rica.
