An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Kaohsiung County in southwest Taiwan at 8:04 a.m. Beijing Time Tuesday, Xinhua quoted the China Earthquake Networks Center as saying. The epicenter was 23.0 degrees north latitude and 120.6 degrees east longitude, it said. No casualties and damage have been reported so far.
