Patrols of border guards in Najran region foiled yesterday an attempt to smuggle 92 kg of Hashish following an exchange of fire between the smugglers on foot and the patrols in Siqam sector. The commander of border guards in Najran region, Major General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Zahrani pointed out that the patrols observed a group of people in very rough mountainous areas who started shooting at the patrols. The patrols returned fire and shooting continued until the smugglers escaped to their coming-point, leaving behind them a quantity of hashish amounted to 92 Kilogram which had been seized.
