Saudi Education Minister Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Obaid met here today Yemeni counterpart Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Jofi. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of educational cooperation. The meeting highlighted the two countries' experience in the general educational system, noting the importance of training teachers and changing expertise and programs to reduce illiteracy. The two ministers reviewed support offered by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in domains of building capacities of education minister's cadre in addition to unifying curriculums of the Bureau's members. The Saudi Minister also met Yemeni Minister of Youth and Sports Humod Abbad. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of scout. Dr Al-Obaid has paid a visit to the Textbook Printers Corporation and got acquainted with the production process to cover country schools' needs.
