Yemen will participate in a meeting of the Executive Board of the Bureau of Education in The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to be held in Muscat, Oman, on January 13. In a statement to Yemen News Agency (SABA), the Under-Secretary of Yemeni Ministry of Education for Training and Rehabilitation Sector, Mohamed Abdullah Zabarah who represents his country at the meeting stated that the periodical meetings of the Executive Board comprising Under-Secretaries of the Education Ministries in the Arab Gulf States and Yemen are held every two years. "These meetings pave the way for convening the General Conference of the Ministers of Education in the Bureau's member States to be held in Muscat during the period from January 14 to 15 with the participation of Yemeni Minister of Education Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Jofi," Zabarah said. He said the Under-Secretaries meeting will cover a number of issues concerning the educational progress in the Member States, adding that they will discuss also the agenda of the Ministerial meeting and the Bureau's programs and services for the next two years.
