A train derailed near a northern town of Portugal Friday, killing at least 1 person and injuring some 25 others, Xinhua quoted news agencies as reporting. The dead person was a young girl and 10 of the 25 injured are in serious condition, according to the local media. The train, with some 50 people on board derailed in countryside close to the northeastern city of Braganca at around 11 a.m. local time (1000 GMT). The cause of the accident is still unclear.
