Almost all the earlier-delayed AirUnion flights from Moscow's Domodedovo airport, but one to Dushanbe, have departed, company press secretary Yulia Bagrysheva told Itar-Tass. The company promised that all the delayed flights would depart by 02:30 Moscow time, but all the planes flew out from Domodedovo, their base airport at Moscow, only by 08:00 Moscow time. Only one flight to Dushanbe is left. About 100 passengers are waiting for it, Bagrysheva said. She assured all the flights planned for this Friday depart according to schedule. On Thursday, on the list were 23 delayed flights from Moscow. The delays were connected with the refusal of contractors of the company to refuel planes due to debts. A total of 2,500 people waited at Domodedovo to depart and about a thousand waited at regional airports. AirUnion unites Krasnoyarsk Airlines, Domodedovo Airlines, Omskavia and the Samara and SibAviaTrans companies. Rosaviation head Yevgeny Bachurin said that AirUnion on Thursday received 3,600 tonnes of fuel, enough to work during the weekend. The fuel was provided after the Russian Technologies state corporation gave guarantees, he noted. Meanwhile, two SibAviaTrans flights were delayed at Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo airport on Friday because of debts for fuel. Two flights have been delayed since 02:00, Prime-Tass cited airport sources as saying. Over a hundred passengers waited to depart for Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk. The delay is connected with the debt owed to fuel contractors. As of 11:30 local time, the debt was partially repaid, and a guarantee was given for repayment of the rest. Departure of the delayed flights is planned for 13:00 local time. For the period of the delay, rooms in a hotel at the airport and hot meals were provided for the passengers.
