South Ossetia lifted the state of emergency, enforced in connection with Georgia's armed aggression, beginning from 9.00 pm Moscow time Wednesday. Head of the South Ossetia administration Eduard Kokoity signed a corresponding decree to this effect, Itar-Tass quoted spokeswoman for the South Ossetia administration Irina Gagloyeva as saying. This was done in connection with the stabilization of the situation in South Ossetia and in compliance with the Constitution of South Ossetia, the spokeswoman said. Curfew earlier imposed in South Ossetia remains in force yet, the spokeswoman said.
