Four hundred and twenty seven people injured in Georgia's combat actions against Tskhinval are in hospitals in North Ossetia at present, said a source at the federal operational headquarters dealing with consequences of the armed conflict in South Ossetia. As of 06:00 Moscow time, August 16, 427 people, including 70 children, are in North Ossetian hospitals. Medical aid has been rendered to a total of 613 people, Itar-Tass quoted the source as saying. Emergencies ministry and health ministry hospitals deployed in Tskhinval also receive injured people. Doctors in the hospitals received 86 people over the past day alone. Medical aid has been rendered to a total of 317 people, and 68 surgical operations have been performed there. Twenty one heavily injured people are in Moscow hospitals. They are civilians who were wounded in the first days of the fighting started by Georgia. Most of the patients need more surgical operations.
