Dr. Abdulmalik bin Ali Annnujaidi, Dean of researches and consultative institution at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) registered two invention patents last May in the United States in the field of Heat Exchanger Design & Impact Engineering. Dr. Osamah Sadiq Taiyb, the President of KAU said that these two new patents are added to the scientific accomplishments of the University. The registration of one of King Abdulaziz University professors' two patents in the United States of America on topics related to the oil industry and supported by Saudi Aramco stresses the distinguished position of the KAU in Scientific field and affirms its precedence in research and development fields, he said. "This scientific achievement is the result of the support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for the activities of scientific and research fields in national educational institutions including universities to promote scientific research and its industrial applications in various scientific fields, " he added. The President of King Abdulaziz d University in a statement on this occasion said that the registration of patents reflects the attention of university towards standard scientific research and its industrial applications, under the directives of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Anqari to make Saudi universities become advanced research universities.
