A senior Taliban leader was believed to have been killed on Thursday in a military operation in northwestern Pakistan's tribal region, local TV reported, according to Xinhua. The Taliban commdander Maulvi Faqir may have been killed by security forces in the operation in Damadolla area of Bajaur tribal agency, private Geo TV said. Maulvi Faqir is said to be the No. 2 figure in Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), or Pakistan Taliban Movement. But there is no official confirmation about the report.
