Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held talks on Wednesday with his Thai counterpart Samak Sundaravej. During the official talks, they noted the distinguished bilateral relations linking the two countries ever since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1964. They felt these relations were further boosted by the participation of the Kuwaiti Emir in the 60th anniversary celebration of Thai King Phumiphon Adunyadet's accession to the throne in 2006. They also discussed means of boosting cooperation in the economic and commercial fields, encouraging Thai businessmen and companies to invest in Kuwait's construction and energy sectors, as well as providing facilitations for Kuwaiti oil companies so as to increase investments in the petrochemical field, according to a report of Kuwaiti news agency "KUNA." --MORE
