Twelve people from a village in North Sumatra province suspected from suffering avian influenza this week have been tested negative of avian influenza, dismissing a possible cluster re-emerging in the province, Xinhua quoted the health ministry's director-general of communicable disease control NyomanKandun as saying here today. The 12 people, from Air Batu village of the province, were hospitalized this week after suffering like bird flu symptoms, fever and respiratory problem, a health official said, adding that their blood samples were sent to Jakarta for testing. Indonesia has been hit by the avian influenza with 112 fatalities out of 137 contracted people, Kandun said.
