In line with the directives of the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Saudi Popular Campaign to Assist the affected persons of Tsunami and Earth Quake in Pakistan, the Campaign is planning to establish 20 schools in Kashmir with total cost of $1,500,000. Dr. Khalid Al-Othamni , the Campaign's Regional Director said in a statement to SPA that the project will be accomplished in due time to replace temporal tents used now as schools. Last month, the Saudi Campaign accomplished the project of building 400 ready-made houses at a cost of $18,500,000 to accommodate displaced families in the city of Balakot in the North-West Frontier Province. The Campaign also resumed its works in Pakistan and has distributed 230,000 blankets; 150000 quilts; 12, 500 waterproof tents in addition to medical assistance worth SR 4 million; stoves and 100,000 food baskets containing sugar, rice, oil and flour as well as the distribution of thousands of tents covers. --MORE
